BJP National General Secy chairs BJP State Core Group meet

BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh, who was on a two-day tour to Chhattisgarh, chaired meetings of BJP State Working Committee and BJP State Core Group on Saturday.
Chairing the meeting of State Working Committee, the BJP National General Secretary said the BJP will be contesting the Mission 2018 (Assembly Election) under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and will come to power for the fourth consecutive time.

Later chairing the Core Group meeting, the National General Secretary reviewed the progress of programmes ‘New India – Sankalp Se Siddhi’, set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and programmes being implemented under Pundit Deendayal Upadhyay Birth Centenary Year. Also during the meeting future programmes to be taken up by the party was also underlined.

BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh reached Chhattisgarh on Friday on a two day visit. During his two-day visit in Chhattisgarh, the National General Secretary visited Bilaspur, Mungeli, Nandghat (Bemetara) and Raipur and interacted with grass-root and booth-level party workers. During his visit to these places the National General Secretary reviewed the works of both government and party organisation. He also gauged preparation of the party organisation for the forthcoming Assembly elections in 2018. Earlier, National Joint General Secretaries (Organisation) B L Santosh and V Satish had visited Chhattisgarh for strengthening the party organisation.

It is worth mentioning here that recently BJP National President Amit Shah had visited Raipur and had given a target of winning 65 seats in the forthcoming Assembly elections. Shah is due to visit Chhattisgarh again during October. Ahead of his visit, the National General Secretaries are visiting Chhattisgarh to get a first hand information about the party organization and its activities. During his visit he also gauged what are the weaknesses of the party in Chhattisgarh and how these weaknesses can be converted into strength.

BJP National General Secretary later talking to media persons said during his two day stay in Chhattisgarh, he met with party workers and office-bearers right from district to state level. He added that he also met with booth and mandal party workers as well and discusses various fine points pertaining to the organisation as well as the government. He also discussed about the implementation of various state as well as central sponsored schemes, in the state. During interaction with the booth, mandal and state level party workers, it came to fore that all are happy with the central and state schemes and they are taking it to the people. He said under the able leadership of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, the schemes are being implemented here very well and people are happy about it. He said the Chief Minister enjoys a very good rapport with the people.

At the organizational level, party workers and office-bearers are fulfilling the responsibilities at the grass root level and executing the party programmes very well. He said he had worked in all the elections since the inception of the state and from the environment what he can see today, it is for sure that Bharatiya Janata Party will come to power for the fourth consecutive time in the state under Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh.

Arun Singh said there might by difference of opinion among the party workers and office-bearers but there are no differences in the heart. Every party worker, leader, etc are happy and satisfied with the way the government and party is functioning and that he’s sure that in Mission 2018, the party will definitely win over 65 seats as targeted by the National President.

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh while talking to media persons, final programmes based on ‘New India – Sankalp Se Siddhi’, set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and programmes being implemented under Pundit Deendayal Upadhyay Birth Centenary Year, was discussed during the Core Group meeting. Also other party organizational level programes were discussed during the meeting. Also two Union Ministers including Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda and Union Minister of State Sudarshan Bhagat will be reaching Chhattisgarh on August 28. Their programmes were also discussed and finalized during the meeting.

Bharatiya Janata Party State President Dharamlal Kaushik said meeting at different levels were held during the day. As per party’s national directive, National General Secretaries visit states on a gap of three months and review the progress of government and party organization. Accordingly, during his visit to Chhattisgarh, BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh discussed several issues and gave certain guidelines.

Present on the occasion were large number of party workers and office-bearers including Core Group Members including Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, BJP State President Dharamlal Kaushik, BJP National General Secretary Saroj Pandey, BJP State General Secretary (Organization) Pawan Sai, Rampratap Singh, Union Minister of State Vishnudeo Sai, Food Minister Punnulal Mohle. Also present were Ministers Prem Prakash Pandey, Ajay Chandrakar, Rajesh Munat, Kedar Kashyap, as well as senior party office bearers including Girdhar Gupta, Santosh Pandey, Subhauram Kashyap, Shivratan Sharma, Sachidanand Upasne, Bhupendra Sawanni, Sanjay Srivastava, etc.
