Defence Equipment Exhibition inaugurated

Defence Equipment Exhibition was inaugurated at Controllerate of Quality Assurance (Weapons), on Saturday. The exhibition is being organised on the occasion of diamond jubilee year celebrations of Controllerate of Quality Assurance (Weapons) at its officers mess, GCF Estate.  The exhibition was inaugurated in special presence of Brigadier, V K Singh, Commandant, Long Proof Range (LPR), Khamaria and Brigadier, Ravi Bharadwaj, Controller, CQA(W) while several other officers were specially present during the programme.

On the occasion, a large number of school students from different schools specially reached to witness the defence equipments exhibition with the display of indigenously developed 155 mm Dhanush Gun, Light Field Gun, L-70, Mine Protective Vehicle (MPV) and other defence equipments ammunitions. Senior officers from Controllerate of Quality Assurance (Weapons), Gun Carriage Factory (GCF) and Vehicle Factory Jabalpur (VFJ) detailed about the use and specialty of defence equipments and replied the queries of students.

Along with the school students, a large number of officers, employees and residents along with their families were present to witness defence equipments.During the programme, Colonel BSS Rao, MRV Jagdish, Rakesh Gaur, works committee and advisory committee members, Lieutenant Colonel, Amit Sharma, TG Rao and others were persent. It may be noted that Controllerate of Quality Assurance (Weapons) is celebrating its diamond jubilee foundation day in a series of month-long programmes.

In the series, a defence equipments exhibition is organised to display lethal defence weapons, ammunitions and equipments being used for security of the nation. The exhibition is opened for residents while school students are specially invited to closely witness the defence weapons.
