MADHYA Pradesh has witnessed a radical transformation in terms of economic and social development over the last decade. The State has recorded an impressive growth in GSDP averaging over 9 per cent during this period, supplemented by creation of a robust support infrastructure in terms of roads, water supply and irrigation capacity and a year round 24x7 power supply.

Recognising the exponentially growing role of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in the economy of the State and country, Government of Madhya Pradesh has established a separate and dedicated department for the upliftment of the sector. The aim of MSME Department is to make MSMEs competent as well as to grow and help them to promote socio-economic growth and employment opportunity in State. Vidarbha region of Maharashtra and South Madhya Pradesh have grown in an organic and integrated manner supporting each other’s economy in agriculture, manufacturing and services of this joint region.

Looking at the potential growth of these areas and to create synergy’s between their needs and opportunities, it is proposed to organise an interaction between the businesses through a delegation of businesses and officials from the bordering district of Chhindwara, Betul, Hoshangabad etc.

With an objective to extend invite for ‘Madhya Pradesh MSME Convention 2017 ’ and to invite industries to invest in Madhya Pradesh.

The Department of MSME, in partnership with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), will be organising an interactive session on ‘Investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh’ on September 1, from 2:30 pm to 5 pm at Hotel Radisson Blu, Nagpur.

Senior officials will be deliberating on the benefits and incentives of investing in Madhya Pradesh along with the keynote address of Sanjay Pathak, Minister of MSME, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
