Dharampeth Mahila Society earns profit of Rs 4.64 crore in 2016-17

THE Dharampeth Mahila Multi-state Co-operative Society has posted profit of Rs 4.64 crore in financial year 2016-17. This was disclosed by Nilima Bawane, Chairperson of the Society at the 23rd Annual General Meeting of the Society held recently.
The meeting began in the presence of 1,950 members of the Society. All directors of the society were also present.


Bawane also declared 12 per cent dividend to the members of the Society. She informed that ‘Banking Point’ training programme is receving good response. Three batches of the course have been successfully completed while the fourth batch of 50 students has been started recently. The Society has also made plots available at Salai-Godhani at a very reasonable rates. The booking of the plots is getting overwhelming response from the buyers.


Bawane further said that in the fiscal that ended on March 31, the Society deposits were Rs 752 crore against the advances of Rs 451 crore. The Society had a total business mix of Rs 1,203 crore.


Wards of the members, who had scored above 90 per cent marks in SSC and HSSC were felicitated on the occasion.
Dharampeth and Narendra Nagar branches were awarded for doing excellent business in the last financial year as well as in the current financial year. They were awarded with trophy and a floral bouquet. The annual report of the Society was read by Anagha Vaidya, Director of the Society.


The agenda of the meeting was presented by Sarika Pendse, Vice-Chairperson of the Society which was approved in the meet.
The meeting was conducted by Shweta Shelgavkar while Nilam Bowade, Director of the Society proposed the vote of thanks, informs a press release.
