Police collected Rs 31,000 fine from 31 school students by challaning their vehicles during the ongiong drive by the traffic depertment

Continuing its drive against the school children plying gear two wheelers the traffic police collected Rs 31,000 fine from 31 school students by challaning their vehicles on Wednesday. It needs a mention here that after the directives issued by SP Durg Amresh Msihra under the guidance of ASP (Traffic) the traffic department is conducting traffic awareness programme at various school in the city. During the awareness drive the traffic personnel informed about the traffic rules and also that the school students must not drive gear two wheelers more than 150 CC.


Under it two teams of Traffic Police conducted raids at DPS Risali Chowk and near MGM School, Sector-6 where the minors driving gear vehicles and more than 150 CC bikes and scooters were challaned and their two wheelers were seized and brought to Traffic Tower, Supela. After this the parents of the students were called and fine was imposed.


ASP (Traffic) KB Singh informed that the parents were asked not to give two wheelers to their children and also about their ill effects. He said that the drive will continue in future also on
regular basis.
