GRP nabs 3 men involved in thefts

GOVERNMENT Railway Police (GRP) team nabbed three accused involved in several theft incidents and recovered stolen valuables worth Rs 2.70 lakh at Bankedi police station. The accused have been identified as Lakhan alias Prakash Kori (24), son of Reva Shankar Kori, a resident of Saikhera village in Narsinghpur, Komal Singh Choudhary (28), son of Khuman Singh Chouhary (28), resident of Itwara Bazaar in Narsinghpur and Jagdish alias Jugraj alias Baba Yadav (26), son of Shibbu Yadav, a resident of village Bada Mehgavan in Narsinghpur.


According to GRP Jabalpur, under the direction of Additional Director General of Rail Police, Madhya Pradesh, GRP started a special campaign under supervision of Superintendent of Rail Police, Jabalpur, R K Singh, DSP (Rail), Jabalpur, B S Gautharia for checking anti-social activities at railway stations. During the campaign, GRP received information about some suspected men involved in theft incidents sighted at Bankheri police station.

Acting promptly on the information, a police team led by SHO Vinod Shukla including Post In-charge B M Dwivedi, ASI, R D Gautam Constables, Prakash Kori, Vijay, Vimlesh, Woman Constable, Priyanka and RPF Constable Kamlesh started a search and trapped three suspected men. During rigorous interrogation, the accused broke out and confessed to several theft incidents. On their identification, GRP team recovered jewellery, mobile handsets and other valuables from the accused worth Rs 2.70 lakh.
