BJP terms Cong agitation as massive failure

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has termed the agitation launched by Congress against the deaths of cows was a massive failure. BJP State Spokesperson Sanjay Srivastava said the Congress which had illegally used cows during demonstration and left them unfed, which is unfortunate. Tied with ropes, the way the hungry cows were being pulled by the Congress leaders for the sake of demonstration, was not only pathetic, but the cruelty against the cows very much defeated the very cause of demonstration.

The Congress was demonstrating against the deaths of cows in gaushalas and were themselves carrying out cruelty against them. Srivastava said the Congress which had never thought about Gau-Dhan, during demonstrations, several cows got unwell, but the Congressmen kept on pulling them in scorching heat.

By using the poor cows for the sake of politics and by causing severe harm to them, it has lost the moral rights of taking about cows. Meanwhile the NGO - People for Animal, has taken serious cognizance of the issue where cows being used during demonstration by political parties on issues pertaining to deaths of large numbers of cows in gaushalas. It has called for a detailed report on the said incident. It is necessary to obtain permission from Animal Welfare Board for using animals in any kind of demonstrations. ‘People for Animals’ also known as PFA, is the country’s largest animal welfare organization with a nationwide network of 26 hospitals, 165 units, 60 mobile units and 2.5 lakh members. It works to rescue and rehabilitate sick and needy animals. It sets up and run shelters, ambulance services, sterilization programmes, treatment camps and disaster rescue missions for animals.

Meanwhile, People faced anxious moments on Wednesday as the barricading was performed in civil lines areas to stop the Congress party activists from reaching Chief Minister House on Wednesday. Students studying in schools located near Civil lines were the one who suffered the most. The residents of Civil lines were also among the sufferer. Sources informed that the barricades were closed between 1 pm to 3 pm. Parents of some students pleaded before on duty police personnel to allow them to cross the barricade so that they reach their house on time using normal route. People who use the routes on regular basis were puzzled and had to move on diverted routes on the day.

Source informed that one Ambulance was allowed to cross the barricade and the Congress activists also cooperated in allowing the Ambulance to reach hospital on time. Many residents of Civil lines area had to park their vehicles at some distance and walked home. Traffic was also disrupted and bottle neck like situation was observed in many places.
