WCR to provide Wi-fi at all 14 A grade stations

Another feather is likely to get added with the WCR, under nationwide Digital India Mission, after having successfully started Wi-fi at A-1 grade stations, namely Jabalpur, Bhopal and Kota of WCR, reportedly is all set to provide Wi-fi facility in all 14 A grade stations falling under the ambit of WCR. Of the 14 stations, 12 are in Madhya Pradesh, covering two divisional headquarters, while two stations of Kota division of WCR are in Rajasthan. After the installation of Wi-fi, passengers in 14 stations would have access to high speed internet.

According to information, with an aim to provide internet connectivity to passengers, the WCR had taken up the responsibility to provide Wi-fi connectivity under its various A-1 and A grade stations. The work was started in two phases, as in the first phase, three A-1 grade stations namely Jabalpur, Bhopal and Kota all divisional headquarters were installed with Wi-fi connectivity. And now, under the second phase, to provide internet connectivity, all 14 A grade stations are likely to get initiated.

The 14 A grade stations of WCR have been enlisted as, under Jabalpur division station included are Katni, Satna, Maihar, Piparia, Rewa, Damoh and Sagar, while under Bhopal division, Habibganj, Itarsi, Vidisha, Hoshangabad and Bina and two stations of Kota division included for Wi-fi installation are Sawai Madhopur and Bharatpur in Rajasthan. The facility to provide Wi-fi in 14 stations of WCR in its three divisional headquarters is being made in accordance with Digital India Mission and is being viewed as major contribution of Indian Railways for the nationwide move.
