BHILAI,

After receiving complaints regarding sale of stale food items and utterly unhygienic conditions of the hotels situated at Hospital Sector Market near JLN Hospital Sector-9, the joint teams of PHD of BSP and BMC on Thursday raided the hotels and juice centers. During the raid it was seen that the situation is much worse than that the complaints were made about.

Here it needs a mention that the Hospital Sector Market situated near JLN Hospital is one of the biggest and nearest market in the vicinity of Sector-9 Hospital, and the relatives of the patients admitted in Sector-9 hospital depends on this market for purchasing the juice, tea, snacks, breakfast, lunch and dinners. Food Inspector, Vinit Das, initiating immediate action, seized the gas cylinder and prepared complaint to file in the competent court. Seeing that the complaint was justified, Commissioner, KL Chouhan immediately informed the Food and Drug Department, who in turn reached the spot and sealed the shops and took the samples of the water from the open well. Also the Juice Center owner was not having any license for selling juice. Moreover it was found that he was using rotten fruits for preparing juice.
