‘Samvad’ discusses problems of girls, women in society

‘Samvad’, a programme to discuss problems of girls and women in society, was organised by the women cell and the Task Force committee for protection of girls at Dhanwate National College recently.


Dr Yashodhara Hadke in her introductory remarks spoke on female foeticide and gender discrimination. She also gave details about the facilities provided to girl students in the college.


Dr Anuradha Kherdekar, Head of the Department of English presided over. She guided the students about the defensive techniques against eve teasing. Dr Shobha Jambhulkar spoke on the issues faced by girls. Dr Khadse and Dr Kakan distributed questionnaire to students regarding issues like daily activities, security, cleanliness and hygiene.


Dr Bharati Khapekar, Head of the Department of Marathi conducted the proceedings. Dr Meerasing Kakan proposed a vote of thanks.
