4 held in abduction case

PIPLANI police have succeeded to arrest four accused wanted in abduction case of student on Friday. An informer had passed on the information about the location of accused and police team immediately rushed to spot and arrested them.

It was on the night of August 1 when college student Avinash Anand (23) was abducted and beaten-up. In this case, accused Shivam Sharma, Munna Pandey, Deepak Jha, Dharmendra Kumar were absconding. Police were on toes to nab them. Finally, on Friday, police were informed that wanted accused were seen at a tea shop in Rajiv Nagar. Cops rushed to spot and arrested all the accused. Accused have beaten-up victim Avinash Anand with baseball, rods and abducted him. But victim jumped off from the bike to save himself and had lodged a complaint regarding the incident. Accused Shivam and Deepak Jha are criminals and have more than a dozen cases against them. The entire incident is fall out of money exchange in the name of admission.

Actually, Utkarsh had given Rs 10,000 to Oriental College student Munna Kumar Pandey for his admission. However, Munna Kumar Pandey failed to provide admission to Utkarsh and was also not returning the money. Utkarsh’s friend Avinash Anand went to Piplani to meet Munna over the issue.

Munna refused to give money and on this issue, there was heated argument between Avinash and Munna. In the meantime, Munna’s friend Shivam Sharma, Dharmendra and Deepak Kumar attacked Avinash with rod and baseball bat and also abducted him.
