ITMS workshop held under Smart City project

To smarten up Raipur as per the standard of Smart Cities Mission, a two-day long live presentation on Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS) concluded here at Police Control Room in Civil Lines.


On the first day i.e. August 3, Tech Mahindra, Honey Well and Karvy Associates while on concluding day IL&FS and L&T gave a presentation on ‘ITMS’ & demonstrated its proceedings to manage the traffic with huge ease. Besides this, the demonstration of red light & speed violation system was given by the experts to the various departmental officials.


Also, the experts told the officials about the process of managing the ITMS from an Integrated City Command Centre which will establish at Jawahar Market Multi-level Parking. During this program, IG, Raipur Pradeep Gupta, Superintendent of Police Dr Sanjeev Shukla, RMC Commissioner & Raipur Smart City Limited (RSCL) Director Rajat Bansal, CEO, CHIPS Alex Paul Menon, Additional Commissioner. RMC Ashish Tikaria, Assistant CEO CHIPS Shashank Pandey, Additional Superintendent of Police SP, Traffic Balram Hirwani, Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) CE Salil Shrivastava, Assist. CEO RSCL Avinash Bhoi, COO RSCL, Gaurav Mishra and other team members of RSCL attended the programme.


It needs to be mentioned that, ITMS will help to manage the huge traffic in a smarter way. The idea of ‘ITMS’ launched by Raipur Smart City Limited will come up with a big solution to reduce the burden of congestion from the main thoroughfares of the city. In order to implement it, RSCL had floated tender of Rs 174.5 crore.
