CM launches ‘Chirayu Chhattisgarh’

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh launched ‘Chirayu Chhattisgarh’ under Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Suraksha Yojana in a function at Sri Sathya Sai Sowbhagyam Sector-2, Naya Raipur on Saturday.  Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the State government was committed to provide good health services to the people of the state. The Chief Minister said that Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital is doing excellent job to provide treatment to children with heart disease. Over 900 children from Chhattisgarh got cured at Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital. Children from 28 states and 8 countries of the world got treatment at the hospital, he added.

Dr Raman Singh said that over 4500 children had got treatment under Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Yojana so far. The Chief Minister said that Dharamasal for patients and their attendants would be constructed by Naya Raipur Development Authority at Naya Raipur. In his address, Health Minister Ajay Chandrakar accepted that the condition of health services is not good in the state. The State government is making all efforts to enlarge health services in the state, he added.

Chairman of Sri Sathya Sai Health and Education Trust C Sreenivas said that the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital would be developed as National Centre for Paediatric Cardiac Surgery by 2022. He said that Sari Sathya Health and Education Trust is imparting its services for welfare of the society and all efforts are being made by the trust to make every child healthy. 

Chief Surgeon of the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital Dr Ashish Katewa in his address said that it was a historical day that 300 children, got treatment at the Hospital, gathered along with their parents to attend the function. Principal Secretary of the Health Department Subrat Sahoo, Commissioner R Prasanna, Sai devotees Isaic Tigrit, B N Narsihman Murthy, doctors, staffs, students and Sai devotees in large number attended the function. ‘Chirayu Chhattisgarh’, an endeavour to detect and cure infants and children with heart diseases, has been launched by Government of Chhattisgarh and Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Centre for Child Heart Care.
