Principal Correspondent,

This book is a one-stop guide to OLED  technology, which explores the ways in which the development of organic semiconductor materials is opening up new applications in electronic and optoelectronic luminescent devices

Recently the faculties of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) Dr N Thejo Kalyani, Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Physics at Laxminarayan Institute of Technology and Prof. Sanjay J Dhoble, Professor in the Department of Physics, RTMNU have been honored as book written by them published by the world renowned Elsevier: imprint Woodhead Publishing Series in Electronic and Optical Materials published in United Kingdom.

The name of the book is ‘Principles and Applications of Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs)’. This has happened for the first time in the history of RTMNU. This book is co-authored by a foreign teacher, Prof Hendrik C Swart, Senior Professor, Department of Physics, University of the Free State, South Africa and collaborator of RTM Nagpur University.

The book was released at the hands of Dr Siddharthvinayaka Padmakar Kane, Vice Chancellor, RTMNU; Dr Pramod Yeole, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Dr Raju Mankar, Director of Laxminarayan Institute of Technology; Prof H D Juneja, Dean of Science and Techanology and Dr Neeraj Khaty, Director of Examinations and Evaluation, RTMNU.

This book is a one-stop guide to OLED technology, which explores the ways in which the development of organic semiconductor materials is opening up new applications in electronic and optoelectronic luminescent devices. This book comprehensively covers the luminescent properties of organic semiconductors and their development into OLED materials, discussing the advantages and disadvantages of organic versus inorganic luminescent materials.

It focuses on practical information about OLED fabrication and their applications in solid-state lighting and displays, which helps the beginners and material researchers in the field of material science and optoelectronics.
