Programmes to mark 5,000 days of Dr Raman Singh Govt on Aug 14

On the occasion of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh and the incumbent BJP led State Government, completing 5,000 days in office on August 14, various programmes will be organised including, essay writing, slogan writing, painting and rangoli competitions in schools and colleges.
Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh on Sunday released a poster in this direction on Sunday at his official residence.

The competitions are being organised by State Development and Research Centre with an objective to create awareness on the various schemes and programmes being implemented in the state for the benefit of people.

According to Dan Singh Dewangan, Convener of the programmes, the essay competition will be based on subject ‘5000 days of Chhattisgarh’s development and increasing trust’, the drawing competition is based on subject ‘Chhattisgarh of my dreams’, slogan writing competition is based on subject ‘5000 days of Chhattisgarh’s glorious development journey’ and the Rangoli competition is based on subject ‘Various public welfare schemes implemented in Chhattisgarh’.

Accordingly nodal officers have been appointed in schools and colleges for the same. The competitions will be held in schools and colleges from August 8 to August 10. The students who will stand first, second and third in their respective institutions, will be competing among themselves in a open competition in capital Raipur at J N Pandey Multipurpose Higher Secondary school on August 12, from 9am onwards. The students, who will be selected first, second and third, will be felicitated by Chief Minister at a function to be held at Science College, Raipur.

Dewangan further informed that on August 11, a cultural programme has been organized at Government Nursing College from 1pm onwards while a cooking competition has been organized at Girls College in Devendra nagar from 12 noon onwards on August 12.

During the unveiling of poster for the competition, those present were Dan Singh Dewangan, Sanjay Joshi, Prof Sangeeta Chansuriya, Prof Uma Dhote, Nitesh Chakradhari and others.
