First batch of Haj pilgrims leaves today

The first batch of Haj pilgrims will leave for Jeddah by two flights on Tuesday. As many as 300 Haj pilgrims will board two flights from Bhopal airport. Total 3,600 Haj pilgrims will go to Jeddah by flights till August 13. Talking to ‘The Hitavada’ CEO of Madhya Pradesh Haj Committee Dawood Ahmad Khan told that Haj pilgrims will go to Jeddah till August 13 from Tuesday.

Daily 300 Haj pilgrims will go to Jeddah by two flights. Overall, 25,000 people have applied for Haj and off them, 3,600 people were selected through lottery. This year, Saudi Arabia government had increased the quota of Haj pilgrims from State by 20 per cent.


Till August 13, Haj pilgrims will go to Jeddah by flights. Daily two flights will be available for Haj pilgrims, first at 11.30 am and second flight at 10.10 pm.


The first batch of Haj pilgrims started to reach Haj House on Monday itself. Their family members bid adieu to them by offering garlands.
