Police arrest three for theft

Khamtarai police has arrested three persons and recovered 10 wheels with drums of a truck worth over Rs 2.5 lakh. One more accused is absconding.


As per information received from Khamtarai police, the incident took place on June 29, Shatrughan Yadav, a resident of Saraipali, filed complaint against unknown person after theft of his truck (CG04/JC/7572) which had been parked at Rawabhata Transport Nagar. During investigation police and Central Crime Branch found the truck parked unclaimed near Sankra road. All the ten wheels of the truck were missing.


During investigation police came to know that the wheels were stolen by a person who runs a tyre puncture shop at Gazinagar. Police detained Nizamuddin and during interrogation he accepted the crime and told about involvement of three of his accomplices.


The other accused were identified as Aadil Husain alias Achhan, Chandra Prakash Suryavanshi and Iqlakh Khan.
Police arrested three accused, but Iqlakh Khan is absconding. Police recovered the ten wheels from their possession. Police arrested them under section 379 of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
