Six water ATMs of IRCTC starts working at Raipur Rly station

All the six Water Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has started working at all the platforms of Raipur Railway station.
The first water ATM was started in July. The daily passengers travelling from Tilda Neora and other areas are happy with the water ATMs started by railway.


After supplying Rail Neer to passengers at Raipur Railway station IRCTC has taken another step to install High-tech Water Automated Teller Machine (ATM) at Railway station platforms of Raipur Division.


As per information six Water Vending Machine (WVM) also known as Water ATM have been installed at Raipur railway station. Two WVMs at each platform so that passengers can get easy access to the machines. Similar water ATMs have been installed at other stations in the Raipur Division as well. As per schedule six WVMs at Durg railway station, four at Bhilai Power House, four at Bhatapara, four at Tilda, one at Dalli Rajhara, one at Balod. Total of 26 water ATMs are schedule to be installed.


Each of these ATMs will supply chilled water to the passengers at very economic rates. There are two categories of rates for refilling and for supplying of water with container (bottle).


The passengers are paying Re 1 for refilling of water bottle of 300 ml, Rs 3 for 500 ml, Rs 5 for 1 litre, Rs 8 for 2 litres and Rs 20 for 5 litres of water. For purchasing of water with container passenger will have to pay Rs 2 for 300 ml of water, Rs 5 for 500 ml, Rs 8 for 1 litre, Rs 12 for 2 litres and Rs 25 for 5 litres of water from the ATM. The quality of water served will be as per the standards of World Health Organisation (WHO) railway sources added.


Rajesh Kumar a daily passenger from Tilda purchased 500 ml of water by paying Rs 3 from the counter. He expressed happiness over the facility started by the railways. He said the daily passengers are happy with the facility. As the chlorinated water was not good in taste and the daily passengers earlier had no option then carrying water from home.
