BJP calls State office-bearers meeting, reviews implementation of party events

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had called a state office-bearers meeting on Thursday which was chaired by BJP National General Secretary and State In-charge
Dr Anil Jain. During the meeting, Dr Jain reviewed the implementation of party programmes, particularly those allocated by the BJP National President.


On the occasion the BJP State In-charge reiterate the directive issued by National President Amit Shah. He asked all district In-charge Ministers should avoid visiting the districts of their charge on touch-n-go basis. He said all Ministers visiting their respective districts of charge to make a halt of minimum 2-3 days. He also asked them to visit interior of the district instead of camping in district head-quarters and stay at the residences of party workers. He asked them to hold interactions with the party workers at the grass root-level at the mandal and booth-level.


He said during interaction with the party workers, the Ministers and senior party functionaries should enquire about the progress of implementation of party programmes, difficulties being faced by them in the implementation of such programmes and ensure that such problems are resolved.


While interacting with the Ministers and senior party functionaries, Dr Anil Jain said during his previous visit the National President had asked them to practice such visits and asked how many Ministers had followed them. When he failed to get any answer, he remarked that it is matter of utter surprise that the directive of National President has been not been complied with. He said “I don’t think such kind of non-compliance had come to fore in any other states.”


Annoyed with the response, he asked the Ministers to stop holding so called ‘Janata Durbars’ in district head quarters and visit the party workers present in interiors. He said it is the party worker due to whose dedication and hard work you people win elections and become Ministers. From the said development the BJP central leadership has clarified that it is not happy with the functioning of Ministers and are concerned about their inactiveness.


BJP National General Secretary Dr Anil Jain while talking to the media persons earlier had put to rest the speculations which were going round the corner regarding change in leadership in the state. Dr Jain while such speculations as outcome of mere gossips, said the elections will be fought under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh. When queried about why there was necessary for calling an emergency meeting, he said meeting which was unnecessarily hyped as an emergency one.

When it was pointed out that the notice of attending today’s meeting was issued to all MPs, MLAs, Core Group members, Presidents and General Secretaries of various Morchas and were asked to be present keeping aside all works, Dr Jain said he couldn’t attend the August 26 Core Group meeting, hence the meeting was called today. The meeting was called to discuss the strategy of forthcoming elections and prepare a roadmap.


During the state office-bearers’ meeting it was announced that BJP National President Amit Shah will be launching election campaign in Chhattisgarh on October 25. On that day a huge motorcycle rally comprising of 1.10 lakh bikes with over 2 lakh party workers will be led by the National President in a show of strength in the capital. It has been decided that five motor-cycles along with ten people from each of the 22000 booths, will be attending the mega rally. Chief Minister and BJP State President Dharamlal Kaushik along with all Ministers, MPs, MLAs will be present during the rally.
