Veena Mishra donates 729 law books to Oxy Reading Zone

She is the first LLM student of first batch of LLM started by Pt Ravishankar Shukla University in 1984

The first LLM qualified woman from Pt Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU), Veena Mishra has donated 729 books to the library of Oxy Reading Zone being developed in the city to provide the educated youths a study environment. The youths will reap of the benefits of the competitive atmosphere of the Zone and prepare themselves for the competitive examinations. She was the student of first batch of LLM started by PRSU in 1984. Telibandha resident Veena’s husband late Subhash Mishra and father-in-law late B D Mishra were also advocates by profession.


The cost of the books donated by Veena will vary between Rs 4 lakh and Rs 5 lakh. Books based on Supreme Court on Criminal Law, Supreme Court on Service Law, Supreme Court Civil Digest, Central Labour Service Act, Anti-Corruption Law in India, Indian Penal Code, Law of Crimes, Banking Law, Consumer Protection Digest, Air Books etc.


According to Veena, she fulfilled her husband’s wish to donate books. “He wanted to donate books to such an organisation which can extend the benefit of the books to maximum students. When I came to know about the Oxy Reading Zone, I decided to donate my valuable books to the library of the Zone,” said Veena who was given a citation by the district administration for her noble work.
