Vijayendra Bidari takes over as SP, CBI, Nagpur

VIJAYENDRA Bidari, an Indian Police Service (IPS) officer of 2005 batch, took over as Super-intendent of Police (SP), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Nagpur. An IPS officer from Tamil Nadu cadre, Vijayendra Bidari is on deputation to CBI for four years. His father Shankar Bidari was Director General of Police in Karnataka. His wife Rohini Bhajibhakre, who is an IAS officer of 2008 batch, is Additional Collector in Tamil Nadu.


Vijayendra’s elder sister Vijayalaxmi had bagged All india first rank in the IAS in 2001.
An Engineering graduate from RVCE, Bengaluru, Vijayendra joined IPS in 2005. Initially, he was given the Rajasthan cadre. He was Additional Superintendent of Police, Dausa, when the Gujjar agitation for reservation was at its peak and handled the situation with commendable tact.


After marriage, he was shifted to Tamil Nadu cadre and worked as SP (Madurai).
