DISTRICT police is taking persistent efforts for preventing road mishaps. Launching awareness drives, distributing pamphlets, essay writing, traffic exhibition,
folk dance and traffic model can be counted as efforts taken to
prevent mishaps.
The efforts have proved worth in apprising traffic rules to over 5000 students of different schools, colleges and other educational institutions in district. Besides, booklet on traffic rules is also being distributed to people.

Through these efforts, death rate reduced by 12.71% and injured rate by 9.22% in the year 2017 in comparison to last year. In figures, 437 road mishaps took place this year till August taking the death toll to 151 and leaving 492 persons injured. Efforts are on to control mishaps in remaining months also.
Taking step further to create awareness, Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar Yadav has instructed to write traffic rules and make paintings on boundary walls of police stations.
This is being followed in Mulmula, Baradwar, Sakti and Dabhra police stations.

Further, same would also be practiced in Jaijaipur, Paamgarh and other police stations located close to road.
SP has also instructed SHOs to make people aware about traffic rules through mobile police stations.
