Scattered rainfall in MP

Amid hot and humid weather conditions, brief spell of rains drenched State capital on Sunday. In last twenty-four hours, rains have happened in many places of State, providing some relief from humidity. In crux, rains are happening in scattered areas of State owing to local effect and heating.

Weather Department said, in past twenty four hours, it rained in many places of Jabalpur, Shahdol, Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal divisions. It has also rained in some places of remaining regions of State. Till 8.30 am on Sunday, Agar recorded rainfall of 8 cm, Narsinghpur (7 cm), Deori, Katangi, Udaipura (6 cm each), Laknadon, Kareli, Bareli (5 cm each), Tendukheda, Kevlari (4 cm each), Amarwada, Malajkhand, Chhindwara and Begumganj (3 cm each), etc.

Weather Department said, rains and light showers are likely in some places of Indore, Hoshangabad, Jabalpur, Shahdol and Sagar divisions and Guna, Ashok Nagar, Raisen, Sehore, Ujjain and Ratlam districts. The weather conditions are going to remain same for next two days.

The local forecast for Bhopal says that sky is going to remain cloudy and there are chances of rains in some parts of city. As rainfall activities have revived in many parts of State, Weather Department told that there is no system in Madhya Pradesh and whatever scattered rains are happening in State is due to local system. However, there are some chances of new monsoon system in State.

On Sunday, sky of Bhopal remained dotted with clouds and brief spell of rains adorned the pleasant weather conditions. Bhopal’s outskirts, Bairagarh recorded rainfall of 35.5 mm. The revival of rainfall activities in scattered regions has brought smile on the faces of people.
