Litigants get relief during Lok Adalats at different places

Under the direction of National Legal Service Authority, New Delhi and MP State Legal Service Authority, Jabalpur and under direction of District and Session Judge and President, District Legal Service Authority Rajeev Shrivastava, National Lok Adalat was inaugurated at District Court, Mandla and at tehsil headquarters. In this Lok Adalat, motor accident claim cases, Livelihood, maintenance cases, Civil cases, Electricity cases, BSNL cases, MGNREGS, revenue cases. Cheque bounce cases, Municipality case and other were put up for settlements.


In this Lok Adalat, 14 benches were set up. In this Lok Adalat, prelitigation settlement amount was Rs 4199814 and pending case settlement was Rs 5792744.


In Bench of District Judge Rajeev Shrivastava, in a Motor Accident Claim case between Subelal v/s Babulal, in which petitioner son Santosh Kulesh died. Court passed compensation of Rs 7,25,000 in favour of deceased parents. In Bench of District Registrar K M Ahmed, case between Kiran Devi v/s Ganesh Prasad, petitioner had given loan to two litigants Rs 75,000 each but they failed to pay back the loan and hence case was registered. This case was settled through mutual consent.


In the bench of Swapnshree Singh, Principal Judge, Family Court, Mandla, case between Janki Prasad v/s Tarunlata, case was settled but in quite a dramatic manner. The couple were estranged and had dispute over the property which they developed through income of both. After mediation, this couple agreed to reconcile and stay together. Similar Lok Adalat was held at Niwas, nainpur and Bichia JFMC Court.
