State Cong In-charge Punia visits Rajnandgaon

Chhattisgarh Congress In-charge and Rajya Sabha Member P L Punia was given a rousing welcome by Congress workers in Rajnandgaon district on Monday.


Punia was welcomed by the Congress workers at various places in the district. AICC Secretaries Kamleshwar Patel, Arun Oraon, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CPCC) President Bhupesh Baghel, former Union Minister of State Dr Charan Das Mahant, former CPCC President Dhanendra Sahu, former Minister Satyanarayan Sharma and other senior leaders were also accorded warm welcome.


Punia said that the announcement of paddy bonus to farmers by the BJP Government was only a political gimmick.
Replying to a query on Rajnandgaon region is dominated by Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, Punia said that Rajnandgaon was the citadel of Congress. The Chhattisgarh Congress In-charge alleged that the Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh had done nothing for the progress of the state.


Punia garlanded the statute of late Uday Mudliyar at Gayatri Mandir Chowk. The Chhattisgarh Congress In-charge participated in Kisan Rally at Dongergarh. Hundreds of people participated in the programme.


Former Mayor Vijay Pandey, Rajnandgaon Urban District Congress Committee President Jitendra Mudliyar, CPCC Secretary Aftab Alam, Kamaljeet Singh Pintu, Sujit Dutta Bapi, Iqramuddin Solanki, Rubi Garcha, Chetan Bhanushali, Rajik Solanki, Shakeel Rizvi, Basant Bahekar, Pappu Dhaketa, Lalit Markam, Pintu Khan, Vikas Ghajbhiya, Hema Deshmukh and other Congress leaders were present during Punia’s visit.
Punia left Raipur by a regular flight for Delhi on Monday.
