C’garh State Seed and Agriculture Devpt Corpn review meet ends

The two-day review meeting of Chhattisgarh State Seed and Agriculture Development Corporation ended on Tuesday.
During the meeting, discussions were held on various impediments arising during implementation of government programmes and measures were taken to remove such impediments, so that the farmers can be benefited. The meeting also discussed over a dozen of different agendas.


During the meeting, discussions were held for seeds distribution at the district-level and pending recovery apart from demands. Speaking on occasion Shyam Bais, Chairman, Chhattisgarh State Seed and Agriculture Development Corporation, said from such review meetings the progress of the departmental works can be gauged.


Such meetings also bring out problems being faced by officials in implementation of programmes at the district level and accordingly solutions are provided to such problems.


Discussions were also held on Goods and Service Tax and its implications during the meeting. Bais said the GST will be beneficial for the farmers on the long run. Bais instructed the officials to ensure that farmers who are connected to the
Corporation shouldn’t face any kind of difficulties. He said the prices of several materials connected to agriculture have come down and this will be beneficial for farmers.


Present during the meeting were Chairman Shyam Bais, Board Member Vrinda Tambe, MD Dr Alok Awasthi, GM D K Chandrakar, DGMs V K Nagtode as well as other officials including D K Bhoyer, M C Koshta, I K Jaiswal, Neeraj Mishra, etc.
