NIT Raipur’s Entrepreneurship Summit concludes

Aayushmaan and Vaibhav were declared as the winners of B-Quiz while Pratyush and Sandeep were declared as runners up

With over 12 startups deemed to be casted into reality, National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur witnessed the central India’s largest Entrepreneurship Summit. The final day of the summit was marked by business questions competition, B-QUIZ whose final round. The event was hosted by Abhik Sarkar a seventh semester student of NIT Raipur. In the final round of B-QUIZ, conducted on second day, 6 teams each of 2 members were selected out of many teams and at the end of the competition Aayushmaan and Vaibhav were declared as the winners and Pratyush and Sandeep were declared as runners.

The startup camp witnessed a footfall of over 500 students harbored by 18 different companies. The event had the presence of Sunil Bagga, director SB groups and Anshul Dave, CEO and managing director at Oceans Bridge. At the end of the startup camp SB Groups invested a huge amount.

The first speaker of the second day was Rahul Tyagi, vice president at Lucideus and a cyber security expert. In the speaking session He was quite friendly with crowd and he spoke about the hacking ways and he even hacked a phone of a person from the crowd. He also explained how to get protected from cyber-attacks and he even explained how the communication happened during the 26/11 attack. The summit had the presence of Sachin Ashok Kale, owner of the company “Innovative agrilife private limited” his company aids farmers who work on contractual basis. At present his company has 137 farmers who work on more than 200 acres of land. Sachin left his job in power plant to set up this company.

He says it his passion and determination because of which he is successful now. At present his company has a annual turnover of 2 crore .He wishes that his company would one day be listed on the Bombay stock exchange.

The third speaker of the day was Abhilasha Aryan, consultant of MI Company and Director of WOMEN WHO. She gave an introduction to the thought process behind AI and a brief insight in the exponential growth of computing. Her talk was more focused on artificial intelligence whose scope is growing in the country. Students shared their startup ideas with her and she also discussed about the problems during setting up a startup.

E-summit also included the panel discussion which had the presence of many entrepreneurs who gave their opinion and the entire discussion was focused on the thoughts on working for the welfare of society and the country. All the entrepreneurs talked about their startups and the problems we come across while setting up a startup. They also discussed on the increasing frustration and depression among the students of India. They discussed about the startup “BOL DO” which have worked wonderfully in decreasing the stress of the students.

Raipur Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Sanjay Shrivastav on the occasion said that the concept of Smart City will be fulfilled with the active participation of youths especially youths. District Collector O P Choudhary was also present on the occasion.
