CM felicitates divyang for their achievements

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh today felicitated disabled people for their achievements, at a state-level award ceremony organized at the auditorium of Satya Sai Hospital in Naya Raipur. The programme was presided over by Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Gaurishankar Agrawal. On the occasion, the Chief Minister announced that very soon a college will be established in the capital exclusively for the differently-abled students.

During the ceremony, 101 differently-abled students, who have scored highest marks in middle, higher secondary and higher education and also those who have been selected in UPSC and PSC exams, were felicitated under Kshitij Apaar Sambhavnaye Ekikrit Yojana, by the Chief Minister. Besides, social service organizations were also felicitated for their excellent works for disable welfare and the best disable employee will also be awarded.

Addressing the august gathering, the Chief Minister said the differently-abled persons are capable of everything and that they have the necessary talent to achieve every feat a normal person can. Only need is society should come forward and respect their efforts and extend thief love and best wishes. He called upon all differently-abled persons to strive ahead with confidence and enthusiasm and that they will get all support from the state government and society.

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh also released a souvenir at state-level award ceremony organized today by Social Welfare Department in Naya Raipur. In this programme, meritorious students and candidates selected in Public Service Commission were also felicitated. Present on the occasion were Home Minister Ramsevak Paikra, Women and Child Development and Social Welfare Minister Ramsheela Sahu, former Parliamentary Secretary Vijay Baghel, Social Welfare Secretary Sonmoni Borah and Director Dr Sanjay Alang.
