ABSP’s National Convention from Oct 6

Various noted litterateurs of national and international repute would participate in the coming 15th National Convention of Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad from October 6 to 8, 2017 in Jabalpur.

In this convention, noted personalities and dignitaries from literature world, including Governor of Goa and noted Litterateur Dr Mridula Sinha, National Book Trust, Chairman, Baldeo Bhai Sharma, Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Hridya Narayan Dixit and many other noted personalities would participate, said Shreedhar Paradkar, National Organisation Secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad while addressing a press conference, on Thursday.


He added that in this convention, a large number of dignitaries of literature world, including Rajabhoj University, Vice Chancellor, Dr R Kanhere, Makhanlal Chaturvedi Vishwavidyalaya, Vice Chancellor, Dr Ramdeo Bharadwaj, Gandhi Vidya Sansthan Varanasi, Director, Professor Rameshwar Mishra Pankaj, Dharmapal Shodh Peeth, Bhopal Director, Dr Kusumlata, Hindi Sansthan Delhi, Vice President, Dr Kamal Kishore Goyanka, Hindi Sansthan Agra, Director, Dr Nand Kishore Pandey, Rajasthan Sahitya Academy, Uadipur Director, Dr Indushekhar, Tatpurush Sahitya Chandigarh, Director, Ashveni Gupta would grace the occasion.


Paradkar added that the convention would be inaugurated by Governor of Goa, Dr Mridula Sinha as chief guest. While noted industrialist and social worker, Dr Kailash Gupta would presided over the programme on October 6, 2017 at 11 am in Agrasen Kalyan Mandapam, Aahinsa Chowk, Vijay Nagar.

In different technical and literary sessions, around 600 noted writers, poets representing different parts of the country would participate and share their knowledge on the issues to be taken up in the convention like intrusion of foreign and modern literature traits on Indian literature, to conserve and protect the arts and creativity in literature, etc.


Convener of National Cenvention, Dr Sharad Agrawal apprised that, on October 7, a Sahitya Shobhayatra would be taken out. In the procession, major epics of Indian literature, Ved, Puranas, Ramayana, Mahabharata and other epics would be taken out on decorated chariots, while live tableaux of great litterateurs of the Indian literature would be main attraction along with brass band teams, decorated horses and cultural teams of city.


During the three-day convention, various cultural programmes would be organised in the evening, specially, a Kavi Sammelan in national convention that is organised in interval of three years. The first convention of Sahitya Parishad in Jabalpur of Mahakoshal region would be a matter of pride for the citizen.
