Anuj Shrivatri finishes 4th in World Youth Chess C’ship

Anuj Shrivatri from Madhya Pradesh secured fourth position at World Youth Chess Open Championship. Madhya Pradesh Chess Association, Academy of Chess Education, Bhopal, and all unit representatives of Madhya Pradesh Chess Association units have extended their greetings to the chess player to bring in laurel to the country.


The World Youth Chess Championship was organised at Uruguay. Anuj Shrivatri won fourth position in under-14 category at World Youth Chess Championship. World Youth Chess Championship (under-14 to under-18) witnessed good number of participants from all over the world. In most of the categories, there were many players with possibilities of winning the tournament, thus this championship is being crowned as the best of the world. Anuj secured fourth position in the final round of championship. World Youth Chess Championship was held in Montevideo, Uruguay.
The championship was inaugurated on September 16 and was concluded on September 26.
