BMC’s anti-larvae campaign continues in city

Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) and Malaria department jointly launched door to door campaign for checking of larva in water containers and roofs of the houses.

The team of the corporation employees spraying pesticides through fogging machines continuously and the local residents are being advised to adopt necessary measures for prevention from dengue and malaria like diseases. BMC officials are also imposing spot fine if larvae, unhygienic condition found near the houses or inside the premises. Squad recovered spot fine Rs 20,800 from the residents in different areas on Thursday.

Joint teams of BMC and Malaria department during checked drive visited door to door and checked water tanks, coolers, utensils, water containers kept inside the courtyards in different areas and registering 11 cases under Zone-1 and recovered Rs 1,100 and 15 cases registered in zone-2 recovering Rs 1,450, four cases in Zone No-3, four cases in Zone No-4. Joint team also continued the drive against littering in different wards and recovered fine in the city. Massive campaign to check seasonal diseases as well as against littering will be continued by BMC and Malaria department.
