A team of Lokayukta Special Police Establishment, Jabalpur caught an Employment Assistant while accepting a bribe of Rs 1,000 for releasing instalment of Kapildhara Well Construction Project in village Mudiyakala.

A team of Lokayukta Special Police Establishment, Jabalpur caught an Employment Assistant while accepting a bribe of Rs 1,000 for releasing instalment of Kapildhara Well Construction Project in village Mudiyakala.


The accused has been identified as Indra Singh Valre, posted as Employment Assistant in Gram Panchayat Mudiyakala.
The officers of Lokayukta police nabbed the accused Indra Singh Valre, when he was taking bribe of Rs. 1,000 from complainant named Balram Singh Thakur, a resident of village Mudiyakala in district Dindori.


According to Lokayukta police, Superintendent of Police, they received a complaint from a resident of village Mudiyakala, named Balram Singh Thakur that he contacted the employment assistant for releasing fourth instalment of Rs. 10,000 for completion of Kapildhara Well Project. When he contacted the Employment Assistant, tghe government servant demanded bribe of Rs. 1,000 and he paid the same. He again paid bribe of Rs. 2,000 for releasing third instalment of Rs.45,000. Balram Singh again reached to take fourth instalment when employment assistant demanded bribe and he paid cash of Rs. 500 and assured for paying Rs. 1,000 at the time of releasing fourth instalment.


Acting on the complaint, a team of Lokayukta police fielded the appellant for collecting evidences. Once the information was confirmed, Lokayukta police team reached the spot and trapped the employee of government department red-handed when he was taking the cash of Rs. 1,000 from the appellant.
Lokayukta police have registered a case against the accused under relevant sections of Prevention of Corruption Act while further investigations are underway.
