ICAR holds training on biotechnology

\ days training programme on biotechnology conducted by Indian Council for Agriculture Research (ICAR) Directorate of Weed Research Jabalpur on ‘Agriculture Bio Technology’ concluded.


Twenty-five trainees from Jabalpur and other areas participated in programme. Director Weed Research Directorate Jabalpur Dr P K Singh presided over the programme. Speaking on the occasion, he stressed on use of biotechnology in agriculture and provided elaborate information about research in agriculture. He said that the students must be encouraged to use the agriculture biotechnology.

The director senior scientist Dr Bhupesh Kumar apprised about different types of lectures, practical and various research activities being done in the Directorate. Apart from it, he also provided information about measures to control the microbes in biotechnology. The scientists of different research institutes, in their lecture, shared their experiences with students. This programme was organised by Dr V K Choudhary and Subhash Chandra. The winners of different competitions were also felicitated on the occasion.


This training is being conducted with the help of Department of biotechnology, Government Of Madhya Pradesh. All the scientists, technicians, administrative and accounts department, research associates were also present on the occasion.
