CM visits Ganeshotsav mandals in city

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, on Saturday, arrived here and paid visits to various Ganeshotsav mandals in the city. He offered prayers to Lord Ganesh and said that the festival should be made more meaningful through initiatives for social harmony and larger good.


Fadnavis visited the pandals of various Ganeshotsav mandals including Corporation Colony Ganeshotsav Mandal, Shri Sarvajanik Bal Ganesh Utsav Mandal in Bhende Layout, Ramdaspeth Farmland Ganeshotsav Mandal, East Laxmi Nagar Ganesh Utsav Mandal, Navyuvak Ganesh Mandal in Ekatmata Nagar, Gorle Layout Ganesh Mandal, Saraswati Vihar Colony Ganeshotsav Mandal, Sahas Ganesh Mandal in NIT Colony, Ganeshotsav Mandal near Isolation Hospital in Imambada, Yuva Ganeshotsav Mandal in Bhagwan Nagar, Railway Suraksha Ganeshotsav Mandal, Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal in Chhatrapati Nagar etc. During visit to East Laxmi Nagar Ganesh Utsav Mandal, the Chief Minister offered a set of notebooks at the feet of the idol of Lord Ganesh so that the Mandal could distribute the notebooks to the underprivileged children. During visits to various Mandals, he appreciated the hard work put in by artists and members to erect beautiful scenes.

At Utkarsh Sanskrutik Mandal’s pandal in Pande Layout, he was welcomed by Piyush Joshi and others. At Shri Sarvajanik Bal Ganesh Utsav Mandal in Bhende Layout, Shri Siddhivinayak Foundation has created a ‘Shiv Shrushti’ based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Fadnavis showered praises on the members of this Mandal. “I am sure this will inspire the visitors to something great in their lives and contribute to the cause of nation building,” he said. MLA Sameer Meghe, Ruling Party Leader in NMC Sandip Joshi, Sanket Toke and others accompanied him during this visit.
