CMPDI’s drive to create awareness on female hygiene in rural areas

WIPS (Women In Public Sector), CMPDI, Nagpur organised a programme on ‘Cleanliness and Hygiene for Girls’ studying in Zilla Parishad School, Ghodpad village, Kamptee Tehsil.
On this occasion, video on female hygiene, health related tips during menstruation, cleanliness and hygiene during this period, use of hygienic sanitary napkins and way of disposal of sanitary napkins etc., was shown to the girls, their mothers and school teachers along with Anganwadi Sevikas.


Interactive session was organised on myths and other health and cleanliness issues of female. Sanitary napkins were distributed by WIPS members among school girls. The programme ended with distribution of snacks among school children, informs a press release issued here.


Programme was successfully organised by Women In Public Sector (WIPS) members Punam Singh, B Sruthi, Mugdha Soni, Jaspreet Kaur, Priyanka, Mangala Borkar and Vandana Thote.
The programme was organised under the guidance of R M Wanare, Regional Director of CMPDI, Nagpur under ‘Swachch Bharat Abhiyan,’ initiative of the Government of India.
