Samruddhi Expressway aimed at cutting travel time between Nagpur, Mumbai

Maharashtra Samruddhi Super Communication Expressway has been aimed to shorten the distance between Nagpur and Mumbai. The expressway will enable a large population to have easy access to major centers in Maharashtra for a wide range of self-employment and wage employment opportunities, business, trade, education, health care and other necessary services. This is the reason, the project would be completed fast and priority basis. The actual work has been started from Hingana tehsil. Government has procured 30 per cent land for this project and remaining procurement work will be completed soon, said Sub Divisional Revenue Officer Balasaheb Kolekar.


Kolekar was addressing the ‘Samvad Parva’ organised by District Information Office on the occasion of Ganesh Festival at Hingana Tehsil Office. District Superintending Agriculture Officer, Milind Shende; District Information Officer, Anil Gadekar; working President of District Journalist Union, Subhash Warhade; Tehsildar Pratap Waghmare shared the dais.


The land procurement work has been started from Hingana Tehsil and farmers in the tehsil had voluntarily supported the Government for the completion of this ambitious project, said Kolekar. The project has been aimed to promote overall tourist development connecting various tourist locations. It will boost the economic activity in the undeveloped and underdeveloped parts of the state. Krushi Samruddhi Kendra and agro-based industries that will be set up around the mahamarg will provide self and wage employment and help improve agricultural incomes. Non-farm based employment opportunities will be created in rural areas. This, in turn, will help decrease inequality and poverty within the state, he added.


Milind Shende spoke on soil health card and said, about 2.5 lakh farmers given these cards to improve their agriculture production.
Anil Gadekar told about the objectives of Samvad Parva to give information regarding welfare schemes and projects of Government. Pratap Waghmare conducted the proceedings.
