Social service: MPSTDC to develop shed at Shahpura

As a part of social service activities, Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation ( MPSTDC ) will be developing shed at Shahpura. The shed will be developed at Sahastrabahu Bhagwan Mandir E-8 Arera Colony, Basantkunj area. On Sunday, Bhoomipujan was performed for the same in which MPSTDC Chairperson Tapan Bhowmick was present. He also appreciated the efforts done by Kelchuri Samaj for social welfare. He also informed about the construction of Rajrajeshwari Mandir at Maheshwar.


It has to be noted that shed construction and development activities worth Rs 4.20 lakh will be developed in an area of 3000 square feet. On this occasion, many other important dignitaries of the community were also present. It has to be noted that now, lots of efforts are being undertaken to ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance in and around Shahpura lake too. WAPCOS has been assigned for Shahpura cleaning long-term project. Swachhta Pakhwada, a campaign, is also being organised from time to time to ensure regular monitoring. A rally was also organised in which residents of Shahpura participated. Rally also witnessed participation from authorities of Water Resource Department, UAD, Police Department, etc.


It has to be mentioned that nationwide Swachhta Pakhwada is being organised by Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. Subsequent to the directions given by National Green Tribunal (NGT), the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) has chalked out a stage-wise action plan with dates for commissioning and completion of each of the steps that are required to be taken for protection and cleaning of the lake. Shahpura lake is also one of the local tourist spots, which witnessed good rush of locals throughout the year.
