The Chhattisgarh Carnival to being on 9th

To promote Chhattisgarhi art, culture and cuisines, Aditya Adhar Foundation (AAF) Raipur is going to conduct two-day “The Chhattisgarh Carnival” at Haat Bazar Pandri in Raipur on September 9 and 10.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, AAF President Sharda Singh said that the purpose of the event is to promote Chhattisgarhi art, culture and cuisines. Various events like cooking competition, music competition- “Megh Malhar”, dance competition, fashion show “Thirkan” and Chhattisgarhi Hasya Kavi Sammelan- “Kahkaha” will be organised during the two-day programme. Visitors can enjoy bullock-cart ride, games, food zone, puppet dance, magic and others.

Chhattisgarhi movie “Tu Roshani” will be premiered on September 10. The Carnival will be opened for visitors daily between 11 am and 10 pm. Visually impaired children will perform on the occasion of inaugural function.
Inner Wheel Club of Greater Raipur, Inner Wheel Club Raipur, Rajput Samaj, Digambar Jain Social Group, Andhra Samaj, Maharashtra Mahila Mandal, Mahila Sikh Forum, Gujarati Lohana Samaj, Wumania Group and Rotary Club Greater are associated with the programme.

Tourism Department, Social Welfare Department, Women and Child Welfare Department, Forest Department, Raipur Municipal Corporation and other departments will install their stalls in the Carnival. Sua, panthi, gedi and all the dance forms of Chhattisgarh will be presented by folk artists. Yogesh Agrawal, Pratibha Singh, Aditya Singh and others were present at the press conference.
