22 new swine flu suspected patients found on Monday

Every day swine flu suspected patients’ samples are tested positive in city, it is due to change of weather and not having proper awareness among the public about H1N1 virus as what precautions should be to avoid swine flu. On Monday, 5 samples of swine flu suspected patients were tested positive. While 22 samples of swine flu suspected patients were sent to Virology Lab for testing which test results are expected on Tuesday.

1,500 health workers to create awareness
District health authorities are mulling over creating awareness of swine flu among public through 1,500 workers. Among them 1100 are Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) and 400 health workers who will go door to door soon to create awareness among the public that how to be protected from, H1N1 virus. It is season of swine flu so there is no let up in number of swine flu patients in both private and Government hospitals these days.
When contacted Dr Sudhir Jesani, Chief Medical & Health Officer (CMHO) confirmed five new positive swine flu patients and sending 22 samples of swine flu suspected patients to the Virology Lab, on Monday.

He said that our 1500 workers create awareness about swine-flu one to one. It is right that awareness about swine-flu should be more so that the patients be aware of its danger.

4 dengue positive patients in city, 27 new dengue suspected patients

The district health authorities have made five pathologies in five Government hospitals of the city where the dengue suspected patients’ blood samples are tested with Eliza equipments. It is confirmatory test. On Monday, 4 samples of dengue suspected patients were tested positive while 27 new blood samples of dengue suspected patients were collected for Eliza test which test report will come on Tuesday. In coming days if there are rains, there will be more dengue patients in city.

According to Dr Sudhir Jesani, CMHO, 4 samples of dengue suspected patients were tested positive while 27 new samples were sent to labs for Eliza test.
Govt starts daily reviewing of swine flu patients at
divisional level Considering more patients of swine flu, dengue and chikungunya, the State Government has started daily meetings to review diseases of swine flu, dengue and chikungunya at the divisional level.

According to official information, the Government has made arrangements of tests samples of swine flu at NIRTH Jabalpur, DRDO Gwalior and in Bhopal. Samples of dengue suspected patients are sent to these virology labs for testing. There is no shortage of Tami-flu tablets in state’s Government hospitals. For swine-flu the 24 hours special Out Patient Department (OPD) is continued. There are 10 beds in medical colleges and 2 to 5 beds in district hospitals for swine flu patients. Besides, the Government has identified private hospitals for swine flu patients’ treatment at Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Sagar, Hoshangabad, Betul, Rewa and Bhopal.
