Munde assures funds for rural devpt

Sufficient funds will be provided for effective implementation of schemes meant for rural development, assured Pankaja Munde, Rural Development Minister. She was addressing a Jansanwad programme organised at Morshi on Monday. The bhoomipujan programme which was scheduled was later changed into Jansanwad programme due to the implementation of model code of conduct for the Gram Panchayat elections declared in the State.


Pravin Pote, Guardian Minister, Ramdas Tadas, MP, Dr Anil Bonde, MLA, Ashish Deshmukh, MLA, Dr Vasudha Bonde, Dinesh Suryawanshi, District President of BJP, Jayant Dehankar, Amravati City President, Shila Rode, Morshi Civic Chief, Sanjay Ghulakshe, Anil Dabrase, Sarang Khodaskar and Sharad Mohod, all the Zilla Parishad members, Shankar Uike, Panchayat Samiti Chairman, Sunil Kadu, Deputy Chairman and others were present on the occasion. Addressing further, Ms Munde said that Jalyukta Shivar Abhiyan has been implemented to make the State drought-free. But poor rains this year affected the attempt to some extent. State Government is with the farmers and has provided loan waiver of Rs 1.5 lakh to make them loan free, said Munde. She also assured to complete all the developmental works in Morshi.


Dr Anil Bonde, in his speech, said though the bhoomipujan programme has been postponed due to model code of conduct the new Panchayat Samiti building will be ready within one year. Total Rs 2.5 crore have been sanctioned for the double storage building comprising houses for block development officers, employees, PS chairman and deputy chairman. He demanded Rs 3 crore for the construction of wall compound, employees quarters, computerisation work and for furniture and Rs 4 crore to buuild malls of Self-help Groups.

Dr Bonde also demanded to form farm labourer category like construction labourer and also facilities to them. Ramdas Tadas counted on the works done by State and Central Government in its tenure. Pravin Pote and Ashish Deshmukh also expressed their views on the occasion. Rani Pawar presented welcome song. Kshipra Mankar conducted the proceedings of the programme. BJP activists and citizens were present in large numbers for the programme.


Jansanwad programme was also organised at Warud instead of scheduled inauguration of Warud Panchayat Samiti office. The inaugural progarmme was cancelled due model code of conduct. Journalists from Warud boycotted the programme condemning the treatment they were provided by the organisers.

The organisers allegedly didn't make proper arrangement for the journalists present for the programme which was delayed by 3 hours. In protest, the scribes boycotted the programme.
