Skill of managing team plays important role: Dr Amit Samarth

While sharing his experience about the cycle race which needed endurance, Dr Amit Samarth said, “Management mantras for the life is believe in yourself. Importance of Team Management must be
recognised. It is applicable to every field. Analyzing the situations and finding the right solutions to overcome the obstacles is very important.”


Dr Samarth was speaking during the inauguration of ‘Aagman’ organised by Department of Business Administration of Jhulelal Institute of Technology. Dr Amit Samarth made history, as he became first solo finishers from the country in the Race Across America (RAAM), one of the most esteemed ultra-endurance cycling events in the world. In the solo 18-59 age category, Dr Samarth finished the distance of 3070 miles (4941kms) in 11 days and 21 hours. Dr Amit Samarth is the first Indian to complete RAAM -SOLO in 250 years and also among only 15 who could complete the race this year.


Dr Samarth gave full credit of his success to his team; he told the students how he applied
management principles like resource management, HR Management and PR in achieving real life targets.
Manish Sanghvi, Vice-President BMA and also a renowned industrialist told the students about importance of sports and physical activities to become a successful manager, accepting you failures and taking lessons from it. He phrased that a healthy mind resides in a healthy body.


Prof Suhani Gidwani and Prof Mahesh Chopde conducted the event under the guidance from Dr Swati Rahate, HoD MBA.
Mahesh Sadhwani, Chairman SSCT, Madhavi Wairagade, Director HR and Admin, Pramod Pampatwar, Director Technical, Dr. Debashish Bhowmick, Principal also welcomed the students and appreciated the success of the event.
