Thief decamps with booty worth Rs 95,000 from house

Unidentified person break-in a house and took away jewelleries, cash and other valuables amounting to Rs 95,000 near Bhole Kuti in Shakti Nagar under the jurisdiction of Garha police station in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.


Garha police informed that a man named Saral Sharma (35), resident of behind Bhole Kuti in Shakti Nagar lodged a complaint that his father is cancer patient who along with mother went Nagpur for treatment, on August 28. He reached home on Monday morning when he witnessed that iron grill of entrance door was broken. He entered the house and found that unidentified person break-in the house. Saral immediately contacted his mother who informed that she hide a box of jewelleries including two gold necklace of 40 grams, two gold chains with lockets of 20 grams, 10 gold rings
and other jewelleries into a sack in the storeroom.

He reached the store and found that commodities were spread in the room and box of jewelleries was missing from the room. Learning about the incident, a police team reached the spot and started investigations with the help of finger print expert. Garha police have registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of the IPC while further investigations are underway.
