‘BJP is committed towards development of Tribals’

The State Working Committee meeting of Scheduled Tribe Cell of Bharatiya Janata Party was held at Kushabhau Thakre Parisar in the august presence of Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, BJP ST Cell National President Ramvichar Netam, BJP State President Dharamlal Kaushik, BJP State General Secretary (Organization) Pawan Sai, BJP Morcha In charge Rampratap Singh, BJP ST State Cell President Siddhanath Paikra, Home Minister Ramsewak Paikra and Forest Minister Mahesh Gagda.

Large number of senior party functionaries including Vikas Markam, Lacchu Kashyap, Preetam Diwan, Jabita Mandavi, Pinki Shah, Sewakram Netam, Prabodh Minz, Videshiram Dhruv, Sameera Paikra, Damrudhar Pujari, Bhagirath Manjhi, Girdhar Thakur, Shankar Kanwar, Ritesh Sahare, etc and other state office-bearers were present on the occasion.

Addressing the august gathering Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said the Bharatiya Janata Party is committed towards the development and upliftment of Tribals. He said it is the path of development through which the tribal population in the state will contribute in the development of society. Keeping this in view the Bharatiya Janata Party governments in the state and in centre designs its schemes and is getting positive results.

BJP ST Cell National President Ramvichar Netam said in comparison to erstwhile Congress governments, the steps taken towards the upliftment of Tribals by the BJP led successive governments in the state and centre are much extensive and development oriented.

Today the tribal community has realized that BJP government in Centre under PM Narendra Modi and in state under Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh is committed towards their development. He called upon the party workers that we should resolve to ensure that such welfare oriented BJP government should come to power in the state in 2018 for the fourth consecutive time and in the Centre in 2019 for the second consecutive time.

BJP State President Dharamlal Kaushik in his address stated that Chhattisgarh’s tribal community in the state has great contribution during freedom struggle and the erstwhile Congress governments had conspired against such committed category of people and had kept them aloof from the main stream.

During the past 13 years rule, the BJP led government in the state had given food grains at Re 1 per kilo, LPG connections under Ujjwala scheme, Prayas school, road and telephone connectivity as well as several other development schemes, which has helped in the upliftment of tribal population. He called upon the party workers to take the works undertaken by the state government to the people and ensure that the party registers win in all 29 tribal dominated seats.
