Thundershowers in western MP in next 48 hours

State is likely to witness rains with thunder and hailstorms in next forty eight hours at places over Hoshangabad Division, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Khargone Dindori and Shadol districts etc. Weather Department has also issued warning over west MP for thunderstorm along with gusty wind. Bhopal city is also likely to witness rains with thunder showers. The maximum temperature was recorded at 31.2 degrees Celsius in Bhopal which is two degrees above normal range of temperature. The minimum temperature was at 23 degrees Celsius (+1) normal range.

However, as per the Weather Department the moist cloudy weather is likely to persist in like Bhopal, Jabalpur, Hoshangabad and other divisions also witnessed steep increase in minimum temperature is witnessed at Chambal,Tikamgarh, Rewa, Shahdol and Satna divisions in next forty eight hours.


Meanwhile, temperatures among the four main cities- Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur- ranged between 35.5 and 30.2 degrees Celsius. Indore recorded a minimum of 21.5 degrees Celsius and maximum at 30.2(+1) degrees Celsius. Minimum temperature at Gwalior was recorded at 25.6 (+1) degrees Celsius while maximum remained at 31.2 (+2) degrees Celsius. In Jabalpur, minimum and maximum temperatures were respectively recorded at 25.7 (+3) and 33.1(+3) degrees Celsius.

Khajuraho remained at minimum 25.6 degree Celsius which was one degree above than the normal range and maximum recorded at 35.8 degrees Celsius which was five degrees above normal range. Reportedly, the maximum temperatures in the region has shown increase in temperature and has recorded temperature variations few degrees above the normal range.
