Firstly Mayor and other officials surveyed the Chowk Market and area surrounding it. Mayor assured that parking space in multi-level parking will be given to shopkeepers and salesmen. But if post providing the place any vehicle of shopkeepers and salesmen will be found parked on road in chowk area then they will be towed by the team of Municipal Corporation and fine will also be imposed. Traders association agreed to this point.

Divisional Commissioner during his discussion with the shopkeepers said that proceedings are ongoing to develop Chowk Market as a heritage market. This work will only be possible by positive support from everyone. A plan has been made by Municipal Corporation after discussion with District Administration and Police officials. Some shopkeepers told that they gather goods and material in front of their shop because other shopkeepers are also doing the same. Mayor made them understand that all these things will result in negative impact on the trade of Chowk Market. Chowk Market is the oldest market of the city and to develop it as a heritage support from everybody.
