Punia accorded warm welcome on maiden visit to Bhilai

All India Congress Committee (AICC) Chhattisgarh In-charge P L Punia was accorded warm welcome on his arrival at Power House Square, Bhilai, on Friday. Congressmen in large number led by Bhilai Mayor, Devendra Yadav assembled at Power House, Square. When Punia reached the square he was accorded rousing welcome by Deepak Duby former secretary of CGPCC. Punia was accompanied by CGPCC, President, Bhupesh Baghel and others leaders. Later, he also addressed the congressmen and exhorted them: “we have to inspire and motivate populace for protesting against the ruling government. People should see how the Congress is striving for protecting their interests”.

He emphasised that the current situation of the state and the government’s mistakes need to be exposed and the populace should be apprised about them. He said that people from all sections of the society are fed up with BJP rule and Congress would emerge as the only alternative for the people in Chhattisgarh, adding that the Party would go alone in next assembly election. Punia said that the conditions of farmers, the poor populace, labourers and youths are pathetic under BJP rule. From Bhilai, he proceeded for Durg where he will address the closing function of the Congress party’s training camp.
