Staff Reporter,

Protesting against shifting of Technical University from Jabalpur to Rewa, members of Technical Students’ Federation and Yuva Kranti organised a ‘Jago Pratinidhi Jago’ campaign, under which student representative Bharat Mudiya went on indefinite hunger-strike on Sunday.

On this occasion, Pankaj Bhoj, National President of Technical Student Federation and Anurag Tiwari from Yuva Kranti met Bharat Mudiya and welcomed him as per tradition by appling 'tilak' on his forehead in order to start his hunger strike, and gifted him a book on Dr Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar.

Bharat Mudiya told that the authorities were slacking off from granting him permission for his peaceful protest, and hence he has decided to carry on with his hunger strike in his own room in the Government Engineering College Hostel.

Students have threatened that the strike will continue until their demand for the Technical University is not granted to Jabalpur. On this occasion, Nayan Patariya, Amit Sharma, Devanshu Jharia, Siddharth Jharia, Satish Pandey, Ravi Tomar, Rahul Nair and hundreds of students were present.
