RPF nabs thief, 14 stolen mobile handsets worth Rs 73,850 seized

In a major breakthrough, RPF Jabalpur team succeeded in apprehending a thief and retrieved 14 stolen mobile handsets of Rs 73,850, sharp-edged weapon and other equipment from him at railway yard, on Tuesday.
The accused has been identified as Nitin Namdeo (25), son of Arun Namdeo, a resident of Baidai Mohalla, Footatal in Hanumantal.

SHO of RPF Jabalpur Post, Virendra Singh informed that during a special campaign against anti-social elements, a patrolling team of RPF received information about a suspected man seen in railway yard. Acting promptly on the information, a team started search and succeeded in apprehending the accused when he was checking his bag. In further investigation, RPF personnel learnt that the accused was stealing mobile handsets in trains between Jabalpur-Katni route since a long time. He collected stolen mobile handsets in a bag and trying to sell them.

RPF team seized a total of 14 stolen mobile handsets amounting to Rs 74,850, a knife and other equipment and handed over the accused to GRP Jabalpur for further investigations.
The accused was arrested with active working of RPF team led by SHO, Virendra Singh comprising SI, Shivram Singh, ASI, I N Baghel, ASI, M P Mishra, ASI, S K Mishra, ASI, Aparbal Yadav, Head Constables, Sanjay Pratap Singh, Kranti Prasad Yadav, Umesh Kumar Shukla, Shambhunath Shukla, Dheerendra Singh, Udayraj Singh, Constables, Vivek Mishra, Harendra Pratap Singh, Vijay Babu Yadav, Naveen Parashar, Woman Constables, Puja Singh and Sonam.
