Daharwal murder case: Chhindwara SP claims to have located suspects

The Superintendent of Police (SP), Chhindwara on Wednesday claimed to have located suspects involved in murder case of Atul Ramesh Daharwal whose brutally murdered body was found near Lodikheda on Monday night. Although the police was working on various theories but its main focus was on the money angle.

“We have analysed Call Detail Record (CDR) of mobile phone of Atul and located three to four suspects. These persons would be interrogated on Thursday to crack the murder mystery,” said Gaurav Tiwari, SP, Chhindawara, Madhya Pradesh.

“We are exploring the money angle after learning about Atul’s dealings in cash. The family members have not given name of any suspects, said SP Tiwari. Sources informed that a section of officers are suspecting that all had happened all of a sudden when the Atul indulged in heated arguments with the assailants over money dealings.

Deceased Daharwal (31), a resident of Subhash Putala, Satranjipura, was dealing with tiles supplying them to shops in Nagpur and neighboring districts. He was also active member of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM).

A youth -- Shiva -- was detained and was interrogated by the police. According to information, Atul left his house on Monday afternoon hours. He probably gone with one person named Shiva, his close friend. His family members attempted to call him but his phone was switched off since then. Atul’s marriage was recently fixed and it was scheduled on February 7, 2018 and preparation for the marriage were on in the family. The cops are also exploring this angle.
