Rakesh Singh inspects proposed site for State’s longest fly over

To easy traffic conditions on city roads and to give a metro city facelift to city the proposed site for the longest fly over of the State between Damohnaka and Madan Mahal square was visited by Member of Parliament Rakesh Singh and Engineer in Chief of Public Works Department (PWD) Akhilesh Agrawal, on Wednesday. During the inspection Collector, Mahesh Chandra Choudhary, Superintendent of Police, Shashikant Shukla along with officials of different departments were present.

Member of Parliament, Rakesh Singh in special presence of Engineer In Chief of PWD, Agrawal chaired a meeting at a city hotel and discussed development plan of flyover in detail with the officials of different concerned departments.
It may be recalled that Union Road Transport Minister, Nitin Gadkari during his short visit to city had declared construction of flyover on the demand of Member of Parliament, Rakesh Singh. Besides this construction of Fly-over connection Damohnaka via Ranital to Madan Mahal square, Greater Ring Road and Jabalpur-Bilaspur road as National highway. The Union Government has approved budget for the construction of Flyover.

Pertaining to its designing and traffic conditions in city, Member of Parliament, Rakesh Singh had discussed the issue with the Union PWD Minister, Rampal Singh. After this meeting PWD Engineer in Chief, Akhilesh Agrawal visiting
Jabalpur and on Wednesday team of local administration officials visited the site. After discussion with the officials MP Rakesh Singh said that since long the Mahakoshal region and district remained ignored but since the BJP led government came in power under leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Madhya Pradesh giving due to Jabalpur which it deserve.

MP, Rakesh Singh said that Union Minister, Nitin Gadkari on his demand had given a gifts to Jabalpur inform of development with budget of over Rs 4000 crore including the biggest 4 km bridge with budget of Rs 760 crore. The Union Government has also approved it and State Government is working on it. In order to check and see the design of Fly-over PWD Engineer in Chief have arrived city. Singh added that all the departments have cleared their works while PWD has also approved the design and in coming March the foundation laying ceremony of the bridge could be performed. Completing of this project would give new dimension to the development of city.

He was accompanied by BJP City Chief, GS Thakur, Municipal Commissioner, Ved Prakash, PWD, Chief Engineer, RK Gupta, Superintendent Engineer, PWD SC Verma, PWD Bridge Chief Engineer, LK Dubey, Bridge Executive Engineer, Dinesh Kaurav, Executive Engineer, Rajive Shrivastava, Shivendra Singh, General Manager, BSNL, Rajesh Soni, MPED Superintendent Engineer, K K Sonwane along with BJP Mandal presidents and leaders were present.
